The Gingerbread House Lodge
Welcome to the Indian Brook Lodge, a delicious stop on our Holiday Home Tour, transformed into a life-sized Gingerbread House wonderland! Step into a sweet holiday fantasy where candy-colored decorations, icing-draped walls, and gingerbread-scented air bring the magic of the season to life.
Experience the enchantment of Christmas morning in the gingerbread-themed living room, where colorful "candy" ornaments adorn a dazzling tree, and presents are stacked like gingerbread bricks. Stroll into the kitchen, where the aroma of freshly "baked" cookies fills the air, and whimsical touches like peppermint swirls and candy canes add to the festive charm.
As you explore the nooks and crannies of Indian Brook Lodge, let the sugary decorations and gingerbread-inspired details transport you into a holiday storybook. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to savor the magic of the season in a real-life Gingerbread House!
Diamond View
Step into a world of Adirondack Elegance at Diamond View on Bolton's Holiday Home Tour. This festive home combines the cozy charm of the Adirondacks with sophisticated holiday touches. Classic greens and red berries blend seamlessly with sparkling white lights, casting a warm glow throughout the space. Red and green ornaments adorn every corner, adding a touch of traditional holiday cheer, while a collection of Santas brings a whimsical spirit to the home. Embrace the magic of the season as you take in Diamond View’s rustic yet refined holiday decor, a beautiful homage to the Adirondack winter wonderland.
Lake Winds
This Adirondack waterfront manor is the perfect backdrop for a rustic Lake George Christmas. The fresh balsam pine wreaths tied with bright festive bows, the birch wood seasonal arrangements on top of the stairs, and the vintage ice skates, skis, toboggan, and snowshoes help pull the Old-Fashioned Christmas feel together. Walking inside will stop you as you take in the awe-inspiring sight of the expansive interior featuring enormous stag antler chandeliers and a turn-of-the-century wooden canoe hanging from the ceiling sparkling with relics of the season. Wander around sipping your holiday spirit and take it all in – the formal Christmas dinner tablescape, the hand-knit woolen stockings hanging from the massive fieldstone fireplace, and the beautifully decorated Christmas tree.
The Sembrich Studio
Welcome to the historic Sembrich Studio, a cultural gem joining the Bolton Holiday Home Tour in celebration of its remarkable 100-year anniversary. Nestled along the serene shores of Lake George, this historic property was once the estate of Gilded Age opera star Marcella Sembrich (1858-1935). The building opened to the public as a museum in 1937 and serves a beacon of elegance, art, and culture in the Adirondack region.
As you step into the Studio, you'll be transported back in time to an era of refined beauty and artistic appreciation. The Spanish Revival studio exudes timeless charm and offers a unique opportunity to explore over a century of history. The interior is adorned with period-appropriate decorations. Sembrich’s own Steinway grand piano, which is still played by world-renowned musicians, still fills the space with sweet melodies. The property’s picturesque views of Lake George, framed by the surrounding mountains, provide a breathtaking backdrop to the festivities.
The Sembrich’s 100th anniversary is a testament to the enduring allure of this historic landmark. Join us in honoring a century of culture, art, and timeless beauty as we pay tribute to the legacy of Marcella Sembrich and her lasting impact on the Bolton community. Step inside and become a part of history, celebrating this unique cultural treasure in the heart of the Adirondacks.
